I also like the idea of a "simple" tax system.<br /><br />Finally, a flat tax has to pay for everything and I think that's a touchy point as well.<br /><br />In any event, I'm not a flat-tax proponent per-se--but discussion of one does have some interesting ramifications on, for example, the use of the term "fairness" in political discourse.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8049100705786633064.post-69911716584126119382012-04-17T08:14:40.355-07:002012-04-17T08:14:40.355-07:00A flat tax? It takes just a little bit of thinking to figure out it does not work out so fairly in practice. I guess that’s what they are counting on. It is easy to say a flat tax is a good idea. Explaining how it is a scam takes many more words.
