Given the amount of ink on the subject (Snow Crash, Ready Player One, etc.) and the emphasis on _dis_topian futures brought about by the rise of the genre, I'm not sure whether to be excited or scared. I do think this will work its way into politics at some point (perhaps "conservative" will come to champion the "real world"). Interesting times for sure.
